Stunning pair of large & rare bubble glass ceiling mount fixtures designed by helena tynell for limburg, germany's leading glasswork, renowned for its premium and modernist lighting products (germany, 1960s). The light amber/champagne coloured hand blown bubble glass shades cast a wonderful light (see pictures). Brass bases. Great design & high quality. They perfectly work also as impressive wall lights. A mid-century modern design classic. newly rewired (hardwired) and ready to use (compatible in all countries europe, us, uk, etc.). Each ceiling light requires 2x e27 light bulbs (e26 in the us). Led compatible. Diameter: 31 cm/12.2'', height (from ceiling): 12.5 cm/4.9''. Very good vintage condition, no chips, no cracks. Some wear at the back of one of the bases. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution, up to 250v (europe/uk standard).the wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
