A fantastic item of Mid Century Modern decor, created in the legendary "Barovier i Tosso-Murano" ateliers. Made of best craftsmanship Murano "rugiadosa" glass, (a layer of uniform microcrystals added and fused to the the inside of the shade for a superb refraction of light, a proprietary technique pioneered by Ercole Barovier in the late 50's). In impeccable condition, complete, perfectly functional. Diameter-70cm (27.5 inches), Height-20cm (7.87 inches), Weight-25kg (55 lbs). This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
