- An extremely rare Carl Zeiss Jena ceiling/wall lamp by Adolf Meyer, Germany circa 1920. - Designed by well known Bauhaus architect Adolf Meyer, the lamp has a stepped brass body with acid etched glass bowl shade which is fully stamped 'Carl Zeiss Jena'. - These type of lights were specifically made for use in large public buildings and retail environments all of which contained a mercury mirror glass inner reflector which directs most of the light source downwards. The lamp has been produced by Zeiss Ikon with the famous Jena quality glass. - Height 43cm, Width 31cm, Depth 31cm. - Rewired and PAT tested, ready to install. This piece has an attribution mark, I am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution, Up to 250V (Europe/UK Standard).The wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
