A refined Edwardian lamp or centre table of elegant form. The shaped top is beautifully figured and outlined with fine satinwood stringing, giving the table a sophisticated and decorative appearance characteristic of the late Victorian–Edwardian transitional style. The table stands on four square tapering legs terminating in spade feet all united by delicate cross stretchers with a turned finial to the centre—an attractive and well-balanced feature. The original castors remain in place allowing the piece to move easily when required. A versatile and well-proportioned table suitable for use as a lamp table, occasional table, or centrepiece in a drawing room or hallway.
