This antique center or side table showcases a highly refined, mediterranean design blending fine woodwork, painted lacquer details, and a central pictorial inlay. Originally designed by the Della Valle brothers in Livorno Italy between 1840-1860 and later reproduced in Italy from the 1940's - 1960's. . A circular painted vignette depicting a pastoral European countryside with a stone bridge, classical buildings, lush trees, and small figures. A delicate gold beaded ring frames the central scene. The outer rim shows a wide, black lacquered band decorated with a continuous, dense wreath of gilded oak leaves and acorns. Its edge is a smoothly rounded, dark-finished rim that transitions into the apron. This particular replica was most likely built mid 40's based on the woods age.
