French Napoleon Iii Mahogany, Giltwood, Ormolu, And Porcelain Center Table

An exceptional and extremely high quality French 19th century Napoleon III Period Mahogany, Giltwood, Ormolu, and Sévres Porcelain center table. This sensational circular table is raised on a triangular Mahogany base with concave sides above three large scale Giltwood bun feet. Above is the solid Mahogany central support adorned with a stunning large scale acanthus leaf mount. Leading up the column is an Ormolu reserve of draped tassels separated by handsome Ram's heads below a berried laurel band. The stately top is elegantly decorated by circular Sévres Porcelain plaques of Louis XVI, Marie Antoinette, courting couples, and their royal court. Each intricately detailed plaque is showcased on a turquoise colored background while set within a Gilt frame, and intertwined circular Ormolu bezel below the glass protective cover. Beautiful foliate reserves and red colored gems accent the top, which is surrounded by a stunning and richly chased Ormolu laurel band with a beaded trim and four acanthus leaf crest.
