A French Regency style gueridon center table with a tripod claw base by Charles Pollock for William Switzer. Made by hand in Los Angeles of maple wood with deeply carved claw feet, silver leaf fluted apron and pedestal. It is a fantastic piece and perfect as a foyer entry table. Charles Pollock (1930-2013) was an American industrial designer with an aversion to the ordinary. He hand-chose old statement pieces from the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries and reproduced them while modifying proportions for contemporary users and modern spaces, as is the case with this French Regency style gueridon center table.
