This magnificent and elegant tilt top oval table, has the top hand made in a selection of briar root and the central foot id finely hand-carved in walnut and it is an example of the high quality of the craftmenship of the well known Londonese firm Filmer & Sons. Under the top there is the metal label signed "Thomas Henry Filmer & Sons". It is applied on the top of the central foot base. The iron mechanisms of the tip-top movement are fully working. The firm Thomas Henry Filmer & Sons was based in London, in Berners Street in 1835 and produced piece of furniture until the late 1860s. Their pieces of furniture was exibited during the 1862 International Exibition in London (a table) and nowaday they are present at the Victoria and Albert Museum. The piece will be delivered with its certificate of authenticy. The piece is in very good state of maintenance and it is guaranteed original in every parts. This piece has an attribution mark, I am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
