A lovely 19th c. tole montheith or centerpiece basket with raised foot and an overall stencil design of fruit similar to Hitchcock. Fine period construction including rolled lip. Has a separate zinc liner with ring handles. Measures 8" x 6 1/4" x 5 1/8" tall. Good overall condition - original surface having minor paint loss consistent with age.
