whimsical and extravagant circa 1920 centrepiece, in the aesthetic motif, with a 3-dimensional squirrel munching on a nut and perched on an undulating vine, the leaves of the vine resting on both the bowl and base, the bowl resembling a 'cracked' egg with irregular 'jagged' edge, the body of the bowl superbly engraved with leaves and a geometric motif, all resting on a an escalloped, 4-section base that is also finely engraved. Marked as illustrated in photo. Just needs a polish to the silverplate but I will leave that up to the buyer. The patina of the bowl is outstanding.
