The Artichoke Centerpiece is a tribute to the long standing relationship between Mottahedeh & Co. and Basso, a manufacturer in Italy. The piece reproduces one of the first objects Mottahedeh made in Italy. Finely detailed artichokes form a pyramid which astounds and delights the eye. Painted with green, pink, magenta and touches of gold. A favorite with brides, Mottahedeh specializes in luxurious patterns and unique, elegant shapes that are reproduced from china found in museums and historical societies. The patterns feature complex and vibrant colors, and hand-painted gold decoration. The pieces are surprisingly fresh and timely, and look wonderful in both contemporary and traditional dining rooms.
