A white marble centrepiece, hovering over your table. A work of abstract art, which looks like a spaceship from distant worlds. Cosmo, the new centrepiece by Casa Casati, with its elliptical shape, refers to the origins of the universe. An almost primordial element, which symbolizes the beginning of all things. Like a spaceship arriving from sidereal space, Cosmo lands on the table and becomes its centre. It transforms it. There is no longer even a need to set it to make it inviting, because the marble silhouette alone is enough to make it appear complete. “Cosmo rests on a black lacquered base. In this way you have the feeling that it floats on the tabletop, defying the force of gravity ", explains Bosco Fair, the designer. Two varieties of marble (white arabesque and black statuary) can be used to contrast against a light or dark tabletop. Similarly, the glossy or opaque finish should be chosen for dramatic contrast. In addition to this essential personality, the Cosmo can also have another more "baroque" one, shown best when the centrepiece is populated with flowers, candles, small objects in crystal and porcelain, perhaps bon-bon or coloured fruits. The Cosmo centrepiece is available in two standard sizes (190 and 150 cm) and in Please contact us if you’d like it customised.
