Dimensions : D 62 cm, H 10 cmThe sculptural plate draws inspiration from one of the most characteristic products of luster ceramics of the Italian sixteenth century: the "coppe abborchiate" which were embellished with 24Kt gold and ruby to obtain unique and incomparable reflections.Today Gabriele Mengoni artist, sculptor, expert ceramist, fascinated by this rediscovered technique, experiments with new forms and modern decorations for deBlona.Each object is entirely hand forged, then it is studded and subjected to the first firing of 1100°. A bath of shiny crystalline accompanies the product to the second firing at 920° followed by the brush application of 24Kt pure gold which will give all its splendor after the last firing at 760°. The reflection obtained is attenuated by patinating the piece with cooked oil cleaned with a woolen cloth and ash. All the various phases of the work are rigorously done by hand giving uniqueness to each single object.
