Designed by Carlo Scarpa for Venini in 1940, this oval centerpiece is part of a numbered edition of blown glass pieces characterized by a highly graphic pattern. The elongated silhouette has raised borders and features a background in Pompei red with black shapes reminiscent of Roman signs created using the "murrine" technique.
