A pair of Chippendale ribbon ladderback chairs. Circa 1800"s.They both have needlepoint tapestry seats. The floral and fruits designs are a bit different, although they compliment each other. Same color scheme with the flowers.and fruit uses lavender, gold, pinks, greens, highlighted with stitches of white. Both done on a red/cranberry background. despite their age, the patterns are quite vibrant. Both strong & sturdy. Clean, no odors, no tears. I bealieve the wood frames are mahogany or cherry. These gems add so much history, along with beauty. Use them in opposite corners, at the table, or as side chairs with a sweet little pedestal table in-between. Use them in many different style decor.
