Antique 18th c. Philadelphia Federal carved neoclassical mahogany side chair 1790 - 1800. Workshop of John Aitken - similar examples at Mount Vernon. Foliate carved urn form back splat with string inlay to the legs. Measures 37.5" tall x 20.5" wide across the front. Seat height is 19". Good condition - minor loss of inlay on the leg.
