Lovely pair of Louis XVI style Montgolfiere side chairs. They are characterized by a distinctive hot air balloon-shaped backrest - or Montgolfiere. The frame of the chair is painted: a soft green with red and gilded accents. The seat of the chair appears to be upholstered in a red Moire silk fabric. This pair is a reproduction of the Louis XVI style original Montgolfiere chair. This set was produced in Florence Italy, by Buying & Design, most likely in the late 1970s. They are stunning and in gently used condition.
