This is a charming set of four chestnut school chairs made in France during the first part of the 19th century. These chairs have great color, wonderful tapestry seats and rare box mounted on the back to hold books and papers. From a good local collection. Comfortable, rare, and useful. This is the first time we have seen this charming and useful chair design in 25 years.
