An exceptional pair of classic Biedermeier period side chairs. Large scale and gutsy (not petite) these are as genuine and good as Biedermeier gets. Matchbook mahogany veneers over pine. Restored, upholstered and polished in the last 40 years. Upholstery is in very good usable condition. Recently acquired from a wonderful San Francisco estate. Beautiful quality and workmanship. Sturdy and sound. Austrian or German, early 19th century, 1810-1820.
