The seat and back rest are hand carved from a single piece of aged teak wood with lovely patina. We added minimalist legs and a tiny wood butterfly inlaid in to the back. It’s all in the details. This chair or side table was hand made in the spirit of Wabi-Sabi, a Japanese philosophy that beauty can be found in imperfection and impermanence. It is a beauty of things modest and humble.
