This is one of the finest chairs produced by the Stomps Bukhardt Company of Dayton, Ohio, and they produced some of the best examples of the furniture renaissance that began in the late 19th century. Made of mahogany with leather, it shows wear and scratches but there are no broken or missing parts and those issues make it more charming and normal for its age. It still retains original maker's label on bottom.
