The Bac chair collection, designed by Jasper Morrison for Cappellini, is the natural evolution of the table of the same name, echoing its proportions and formal restraint. The project focuses on coherence between structure and function, with a construction that prioritises the essential nature of materials. The chair comes in two versions. In the first, both frame and seat are made entirely of solid ash, with coordinated finishes that enhance material continuity. In the second, the frame remains in solid wood, while the seat is upholstered in fabric or leather, with fixed padding. In both cases, the balance between line and comfort remains central.Bac is defined by a pared-down profile, conceived to suit a range of settings, from domestic to collective. Its formal clarity and precise execution make it a versatile piece, designed to integrate discreetly. Every detail is resolved with precision and restraint, true to Morrison’s design approach.• Structure: Solid ash• 113 bleached• 116 oak-stained• 112 black-stained• 118 blue Shanghai aniline stained• Wooden Seat: Ash-veneered beech plywood, same finish as the structure• Upholstered Seat:• Back made of ash-veneered beech plywood, same finish as the structure• Front made of polyurethane foam with fixed upholstery in fabric or leather• Feet: Black polypropylene• Notes:• 118 Shanghai blue finish cannot be used on upholstered chairsDIMENSIONS:L. 52,2 cm - P. 51 cm - H. 46/73 cmAvailable in different options, please inquire with us.
