Extremely lightweight and handily stackable—a rare trait for a solid-wood chair—Ballot uses aeroply veneers to construct an incredibly thin seat. Barber & Osgerby’s design derives its name from the slot in the seat, much like one in a ballot box. The opening also reveals the lightness of the chair’s construction, in natural, black or clear-lacquered solid oak and completely handmade in London.
