Unveiled in 1950, the CH23 chair was one of the first five pieces Wegner created exclusively for Carl Hansen & S√∏n. After decades out of production, the CH23 has been introduced to the world again. The CH23, which is produced in exact accordance with Hans J. Wegner's original hand drawing, is a simple chair notable for its fine, well-known Wegner details: elegant cruciform cover caps on the form-pressed veneer backrest, a double-woven paper cord seat, and rear legs that are arched to maximize stability - all examples of the master designer's sense of refined craftsmanship.
