Cortina 860 is a padded chair with a solid beech wood frame.‎Cortina is a collection that pays tribute to traditional Alpine heritage, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens.‎For this collection, Fabrizio Gallinaro began with the idea of combining the base of a classic Alpine chair with the curved shell typical of modern, Scandinavian-inspired armchairs.‎The result is a collection with a Nordic aesthetic, named after the iconic Italian mountain town that stands at the crossroads of myth and legend, nature and culture, tradition and glamour.‎The chair features a curved, enveloping backrest, while the armchair is distinguished by wooden armrests attached to the seat, with a fabric-upholstered backrest set into them—a handcrafted construction detail that showcases Billiani’s skill in fine woodworking.‎
