This chair was expertly crafted most probably in the early 1900’s in the Federal or Sheraton style. It could also be referred to as Hepplewhite being a combination. The square back has a detailed top rail and the splat is heavily carved with drapes and swags. The fabric is vintage cut velvet striped in pink, cream and brown. A down filled lumbar pillow is included. Research shows this chair to be very similar to chairs found at Mount Vernon.
