Bay Colony Antiques is proud to offer for sale this fantastic pair of early 19th century Birds Eye Maple chairs. There’s some really bold Birds Eye figuring on the crests & splats, and the cane seats are free of any damage. The chairs have a simple turning pattern on the front legs, & the presence of the 6 stretchers ensure the chairs are sturdy for everyday use. As with all natural fiber seats, a cushion should be used to properly distribute weight across the cane. The seats have a curved front edge, and the feet terminate with cute little ball feet. The chairs measure 16 3/4” wide x 16” deep x 33 1/2" tall with a 17 1/4” seat height.
