Mid century modern George Nakashima the N19 straight back chair in birch for possibly pre Knoll. this wonderful design features the tapered legs, barrel back, tapered spindles and sculptures seat. The chair is marked 451 on the bottom of the seat. There is no makers mark on the chair but just this is a common practice for this chair. The early Nakashima straight chairs were often labelled 451 underneath and this example carries that same numbering as well.
