Italian space age cream chairs 4868 by Joe Colombo for Kartell, 1970s Pair of Model 4868 chairs, also known as the Universal Chair, made of glossy off-white yellow ABS plastic. The slightly curved rectangular backrest with rounded upper corners features a central cut-out that visually lightens its profile. The seat follows clean, functional lines, while the fully detachable structure represents one of the most innovative aspects of the design. The chairs are also stackable, a feature that enhances their practicality for both use and storage. Produced by Kartell in 1970s and designed by Joe Colombo in 1967. Maker’s mark with logo present.
