In the 1920s, Michael Thonet's company crafted the iconic No. 811 Bentwood Chair. Josef Hoffmann is commonly credited with creating the "Prague chair". This design is also attributed to Josef Frank. Initially introduced as the A64F, its early iterations featured distinct front legs compared to later versions. The No. 811 Bentwood Chair broke ground by offering a spectrum of colored finishes including this black version, a departure from previous offerings. Throughout the 20th century, this chair emerged as one of the company's most beloved designs, remaining a staple in the repertoire of designers worldwide.
