Kazuhide Takahama 'Tulu' Chair in Red Corduroy for Simon International, Italy, 1968. Beautiful slender and sleek (side) chair by renowned designer Kazuhide Takahama (1930-2010). He designed this chair called ‘Tulu’ for Dino Gavina and his company Simon International in the end of the sixties. Until today this chair is a great example of timeless mid-century design. Although this chair is more than fifty years old now, it looks remarkably modern. Our example is in a great original condition. The bright red corduroy is in great shape and suits the design very well. It is signed both under the seat and directly in the metal. At DEZAAK DELUXE we try to find items that are out of the ordinary. with experience over 40 years, we are known for our singular eye and combining the new and the old. We have a few thousand items in stock in our beautiful showroom in a reclaimed factory building out of the 1930s. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
