Late 19th Century Antique Mahogany Louis Philippe Style Hand Carved Needlepoint Chair | Rose Design Commonwealth Of Pennsylvania
Chairish$249
Absolutely, beautiful balloon back mahogany needlepoint side chair, manufactured in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, estimated to be from the late 1880s done in the Lou’s Phillipe style The needlepoint has a black base with red and purple flowers, they appear to be peonies, but could also be roses with green and sand colored vines and leaves. The needlepoint is in impeccable condition, considering the age. Intricate carved detail on the back of the chair cannot be captured in photos. It is beautiful. The chair does have some cracks which appear to have been repaired. I have attached pictures showing this, but I’m happy to forward additional pictures if you would like. The chair is structurally sound, and the repairs seem very solid and professionally done. The chair is an absolute statement piece.
