Extraordinary pair of French Empire style mahogany chairs featuring a tub or gondola form frame. Minimally decorated having a curved back, vasiform back splat surmounted by a curved crest rail. Gracefully curved back supports conjoined to a red silk covered seat. The front sabre legs are curved in the manner of a klismos chair for a dramatic profile.
