I bought this last summer in France at one of my favorite brocante's near Toulouse, It called to me to be saved. The frame is in wonderful original shape but the cane left something to be desired, I didn't have time to have someone do it in France, but I found a wonderful artisan here in the area (the people who do this are a dying breed). She did a wonderful job, I didn't have the cane colored as it will darken with age. As with all 18th century French seating it is rather low since folks were considerable smaller back then, this can easily be remedied with a cushion.
