A diminutive and chic carved French beechwood slipper chair of classic Louis XV form, resting on four cabriole legs. Fine floral carving accents the crest and the seat rail. Newly upholstered in a shimmery silk / cotton blend velvet. Mid 18th century. Good antique condition with typical signs of age, worming, a few small restorations to the wood around the seat back.
