Designed by the famous Italian architect Marco Zanuso and Richard Sapper nel 1959, the chair has an absolutely futuristic shape for the times which it was made. The "Lambda" was designed to be produced in molded plastic, but the technology present at the time prevented its realization. He then turned to a technology, stamped sheet metal, which was suitable for artisanal production, but not for mass production. In fact, the Lambda chair was produced in small series between 1959 and 1964, the year in which it went out of production. It is now part of the permanent Design collection at the MOMA in New York. Perfect condition, completely restored.
