In 1951, Egon Eiermann created the SE68, the first tubular steel chair made in Germany with organically shaped plywood and a fixed backrest. The Eames couple had provided the model for this chair shortly after the war in 1946/47. This set of six stackable chairs in the more elegant teak version is shown here.
