Mr20 Tubular Steel Cantilever Chair In Grey Leather By Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe For Knoll International, 1970s

Design classic, model MR20 tubular steel cantilever chair in gray leather, designed in 1927 by the designer and architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe (March 1886 – August 1969) for Knoll International. Production from the second half of the 20th century / circa 1970s by Knoll International. At that time, the chairs were only marked with a sticker, not – as with today's models – with an engraving on the frame. The light gray leather has an age-related patina and gives the piece a special charm for vintage enthusiasts. Condition report: Chrome frame with signs of age and use, leather with a distinct age patina in some areas. The leather is soft and not hardened. Lacing has been renewed. Gray underneath, turquoise on the back. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs, designer records, or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
