This set of two antique accent chairs dates to the early 19th century and features elegant dark wood frames with graceful saber legs and a decorative carved splat back, reflecting a classic Empire style. They retain their original rust orange velvet upholstered seats, which complement the rich wood tone nicely; overall condition is good for their age, though there are several visible stains on the seat upholstery consistent with vintage use on one of the chairs (see photos). The fabric could benefit from a professional cleaning or would be ideal for reupholstery to suit a new interior. There are also several scuffs and marks consistent with age on the wood frames.
