The frame is made of ash and finished with a black lacquer, which deliberately preserves the visibility of the wood grain. The triangular cross-sections of the elements, which meet at complex angles and joints, are particularly striking. The high-quality workmanship is especially evident in the decorative stitching of the leather upholstery. The chair is in very good condition with signs of use and a patina.
