Pozzi & Verga Attributed Mid-Century Modern Sculptural Wooden Side Chairs Italy 1950, Pair
Chairish$4,900
Pair of fully restored Pozzi and Verga attributed sculptural wooden chairs made in Italy, circa 1950. Great crafted two-matching high-back chairs with a slender and elegant silhouette. The frames are made of dark wood, possibly ebonized, giving them a sleek and refined appearance. Each chair features a tall, narrow backrest with three vertical spindle-like supports in the center, framed by two slim vertical posts that extend upward into pointed finials. The top rail has a slightly curved design with a decorative cut-out pattern. The seats are rounded and upholstered in a light, textured Bouclé fabric, providing a soft contrast to the dark frame. The legs are slender and tapered, with the front legs featuring subtle carved detailing, sturdy and firm. The overall Italian Chairs suggests a mid-century or vintage European design, possibly inspired by Pozzi & Verga, Chiavari or Napoleon III chairs, known for their lightweight yet elegant construction. The pair is new upholstered, firm and save to sit on. Ready for a new Home. No Markings. Measurements: Height: 48 inches. Seat Height: 20 inches. Width: 16 inches. Depth: 16 inches. Seat Interior: 15 x 15 inches.
