Due to its construction and the materials used, the chair is clearly attributed to Alvar Aalto and was probably manufactured in the 1930s. Even after extensive research, it has not been possible to conclusively identify the model. The strongly reclined backrest and the special shape of the seat suggest that this is a prototype. The chair is in very nice original condition with a beautiful, warm patina. A small chip on the back of the backrest has once been re-glued (see image 14). One leg was once fixed with two additional screws (see image 15, top left leg). However, the screws were removed long ago and the screw holes closed. The chair has all its original screws and is stable. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
