Chair No. 16 (also called "Sweetheart" chair) was designed in the mid-19th century by Michael Thonet, the founder of Thonet. This set of chairs was produced in Romania in the 70's and are marked "Romania". Wood and rattan are in good condition. The rattan seats have been replaced by new (handwoven) ones. This piece has an attribution mark, I am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
