Rare set of four ‚Iris‘ chairs, designed by Bob van den Berge for the Danish manufacturer Tranekaer in the 1980s. These postmodern design classics impress with their architectural lines and dramatically high, curved backrests. ​The chairs are finished in deep black, allowing the natural grain of the wood to remain beautifully visible. The seats taper towards the backrest and are upholstered in black leather. Despite the radical look, the model offers excellent sitting comfort and stability. A striking statement piece of Danish craftsmanship, bearing the original ‚Danish Furnituremakers Control‘ seal.
