This iconic and high quality side chair was designed by Knud Andersen for the manufacturer JCA Jensen, Aarhus Denmark during the 1960s. The elegant piece of Danish Modern design is famous for its sculptural shaped backrest with an impressive timber joint and precise handcrafted details. The backrest shows a visible old glued crack and small nicks in the wood. This has no effect on the statics of the chair frame but may therefore require further visual restoration. The teakwood frame is sturdy and has a beautiful grain in a warm tone. It comes with the original woolen upholstery fabric. Please note that the upholstery should be replaced. Either just the foam or completely including the upholstery fabric.
