This Memphis design is from the 80s. The whole chair is made of solid steel and is quite heavy. It's most likely that the structure has been inspired by an insect. It looks big but it has normal proportions and allows for a relaxed seating position (between a relaxed and upright position). Probably a unique piece of applied art.
