Space age Bofinger BA1171 chairs bymanufactured by Bofinger in Germany in the 1970s The model BA 1171 chair was designed by architect and designer Helmit Bätzner in 1964 in close co-operation with the Bofinger company in Germany. The stackable so-called Bofinger chair was the first one-piece plastic chair in fiberglass- reinforced polyester developed to be produced in one single pressing process for serial production.
