Vitra’s Tip Ton RE is a special edition of Edward Barber's and Jay Osgerby's Tip Ton chair: it is made entirely of recycled plastic. The eco-friendly material derives from post-consumer recycled plastic, namely plastic packaging from household waste. Due to the innovative material, Tip Ton RE is suitable for outdoor use and 100 % recyclable. The Tip Ton chair catches the eye with its special base structure that allows the chair to be tilted a few degrees forward. According to the research conducted at the ETH Zürich University in Switzerland, a seating pose that slightly reaches forward actives back and stomach muscles and thus helps the body to get more oxygen. Designed by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby, Tip Ton will find its place at the office, kitchen or elsewhere in the house, and it is available in a wide range of different colors.
