Two Unique Chairs J&j Kohn From 1915, Hotel Ambassador In Prague, Josef Hoffmann

Manufactured in Austria by the Jacob & Josef Kohn company. Marked with paper label, stamp with date of manufacture and metal sticket with name of hotel. Found total five-pieces of these chairs, three of them were purchased by major bentwood furniture collectors. Chairs cannot be found in the available historical catalogues. It is probably a special model designed for a specific property. The only historical document shows a similar chair designed by Joseph Hoffmann, with the same backrest construction. This is a photo from the Austrian House at the "Werkbund" exhibition in Cologne from 1914. Newly restored.
