Fine quality Victorian salon chair, upholstered in regency silk fabric. This beautiful carved chair has been ebonised in black, as was the fashion on the death of Prince Albert, it is very stylish. The chair has shaped fabric panels which have been upholster with 19th century Silk, this is a deep wine colour with a repeated gold emblem in the regency style. The chair is beautifully shaped frame, the top and legs are carved with Acanthus leaves and shells and there are fretwork panels in the back. The chair is in good antique condition. The chair is 34” high, the front is 24” wide, 26” deep.
